Longer Than Planned

Hey all,

It's been awhile since I was last on and posting. Life tends to get in the way sometimes. Basically the mundane. Music, Work, Sleep, Eat. Probably in that order too. But the weekend is upon us again so I wanted to drop a quick line to circuits. Feel the Sound, Let it move, breathe, and fall into you. Party Time is about to get crazy in here!

Peace

Tired... Yet Ready to Party

Is the week over yet? Can't wait for the weekend. Nothing new to any human being on the face of this earth. Unless friday is your monday. (I did a shift like that for 2 years) Anyways going to my buddy's house this weekend. He throws killer parties. Everyone drinkin and freestylin. Should be a good time. Feel free to share your weekend plans or halloween for that matter. Still trying to find something for this costume party im going to in a couple weeks. Ideas? Anyone? Is anyone really even on there on this internet or am I making it all up?

Peace.

Foundation

So I am just curious how every begins the process of song writing. My friend and I were discussing last night and he always starts from a melody or bass line in his head. I always start with the highhat ... add sum kick and snare and then create from there. Neither way is right or wrong, just curious how everyone starts their beats. Please comment and let me know!

What software do you use?

Just wanted to do a quick poll on the software all ya producers out there are using for ya instrumental beats. I started with Logic, which I love because it works well with my outboard gear. But I have recently started using SonicProducer. Let me create some loops with some killer sounds and export right to mp3! I can load that into logic and add the vocs. Pretty tight piece. Check it out:

Check it out!

Peace.

instrumental beats contest

I am thinking about setting up a page where everyone can share beats and create some raps and have a contest for who did the tightest flow for each beat. Hit me up if you interested! I can start uploading some instrumental beats and then anyone will be free to submit what they create over them!

Sonic Pro

I just purchased and started using Sonic Pro! Have you heard of it? Pretty cheap buy, my friend recommended it. $29.95 I think and well worth it! We produce all types of beats and I've used a ton of sequencers. This stacks up. Quick and easy, great sounds, and great for beats on the go. I got it installed on my laptop right now. Drop by my boy's house and hook it up to his system and we got a studio instantly. Making instrumental beats in minutes and flowing over them with his mic.

This is the tool
